This deceptively easy shawl is a nice introduction to lace knitting, with layers of simple lace stitches and a bead-accented lower edge. The ¾-circle shape lies nicely on the shoulders and stays in place without the need for a shawl pin. The lace pattern is both written out and charted. Sample shawl is a custom color no longer available.

This is an advanced beginner knitting project. You should already know how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off.

Kit includes one ball of Houndstooth Fiber Arts superwash merino wool/nylon yarn (463 yards), 100 glass seed beads, big-eye beading needle, and the Stratiform Shawl pattern in both printed format and PDF download code. All items are packaged in a bag as shown, with the pattern folded to fit inside the bag.

These items are not included, but will be needed to complete the project: US 5 (3.75mm)29″ or longer circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge, US F (3.75mm) or larger crochet hook, 1 yard waste yarn, yarn needle, pins for blocking.
