Black Diamond Alpacas Ranch Retreat in Knightsen November 11

Enjoy a fun-filled day of crafting on an alpaca ranch only an hour away from San Francisco! We’ll start the day with coffee, juice, and pastries while knitting, crocheting, and spinning. The porch of the farmhouse at Black Diamond Alpacas ranch has a great view of the alpaca paddocks and we will visit to feed them treats. You can also shop in the farm store, and browse through a trunk show of Kira K Designs patterns and kits.

We’ll move indoors for an intermediate level class where you can start knitting a Cedar Lake Shawl or crocheting an Amplitude Scarf (one pattern is included in the retreat registration). You can bring your own yarn, or plan to buy hand-dyed yarn created from the fiber of the alpacas grazing right outside the farmhouse window!

This working ranch is not wheelchair accessible but can be navigated with a cane. There are steps up into some spaces.

For Cedar Lake Shawl:

150(300) yards DK weight yarn in MC and 180(240) yards DK weight yarn in CC OR 310(520) yards DK weight yarn or plan to purchase yarn onsite
US 7 (4.5mm) 29” or longer circular needles - adjust if you are a tight or loose knitter
US G (4mm) or larger crochet hook
stitch markers

For Amplitude Scarf:

230 yards DK weight yarn in main color and 190 yards DK weight yarn in contrast color or plan to purchase yarn onsite
US I (5.5mm) crochet hook - adjust if you are a tight or loose crocheter

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel with more than one month’s notice, an 80% refund will be sent. An 80% refund will be sent for cancellations with less than one month’s notice only if we can find someone else to take the spot. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the retreat due to low enrollment, we will give at least two weeks’ notice, and a full refund will be sent to all registered attendees. If the event must be cancelled or rescheduled for other reasons, we will offer options including transfer, credit, and refund.
