Correcting (and Avoiding) Knitting Mistakes Workshop in Hayward February 22

Take the fear and worry out of knitting with this incredibly useful class. You’ll learn how common mistakes are made as well as how to correct them, on the following row when possible. We’ll also practice picking up dropped stitches (gulp!) and methods for taking out your knitting stitch-by-stitch and many rows at once. This class will be useful for anyone who knits.

Techniques will include:

  • determining if a stitch is correctly oriented on the needle, and a shortcut to fix twisted stitches
  • fixing an incomplete stitch on the following row
  • fixing a slipped stitch on the following row
  • picking up a dropped stitch over multiple rows
  • tinking aka un-knitting one stitch at a time
  • three methods for frogging aka ripping out multiple rows

This workshop will take place at Aranea Craft Studio, 943 C Street in Hayward, CA.
