Cellular Shawl pattern PDF
Rhythmic garter stitch leads to a slip-stitch mosaic pattern reminiscent of plant cells, honeycomb, or turtle shells. The curved triangular shape makes a shawl that is fun to knit and easy to wear. Choose a contrast color that is a different value (lightness/darkness) as well as a different color for maximum impact in the slip stitch patterning, which is both written and charted.
This is an advanced beginner project - you should be comfortable casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off. Additional skills in the pattern increases, decreases, and slip-stitch colorwork which is easier than it looks!
