Rose Window Slouch kit

You’ll love to wear this stylishly slouchy crocheted hat, and it’s fun to make! The pretty lace pattern that accents the top of the hat is both written and diagrammed, so this is a great introduction to crocheted lace. You’ll get to work in three techniques for seamless crochet:  joined rounds, a spiral, and joined rows. Choose a yarn that will softly slouch – hidden elastic thread will keep the ribbing snug.

 The sample hat was crocheted with Victorian Red.

This is an advanced beginner crochet project. You should already know chain stitch, single crochet, and double crochet.

Kit includes one skein of hand-dyed Black Diamond Alpacas 100% alpaca fingering weight yarn (250 yards), coordinating elastic thread, and the Rose Window Slouch pattern in both printed format and PDF download code. All items are packaged in a bag as shown, with the pattern folded to fit inside the bag.

These items are not included, but will be needed to complete the project: US E (3.5mm) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge, removable stitch markers, yarn needle.
