Visible Mending supplies

Whether taking my Visible Mending workshop or following my YouTube playlist, you will need various materials. If you have no supplies, you'll likely want both the Ultra Embroidery Kit and a Speedweve Loom Kit. Each kit comes with a handout and is packaged in a cotton drawstring bag.

• Basic embroidery kit includes embroidery hoop, embroidery needle, muslin fabric, and a few colors of embroidery floss.

• Ultra embroidery kit includes embroidery hoop, embroidery needle, muslin fabric, a few colors of embroidery floss, thread snips, and dual purpose disappearing ink fabric marking pen.

• Orange 14 hook Speedweve loom kit includes 2.5” diameter Speedweve mending loom , rubber bands, two weaving needles, latch hook , muslin fabric, and a thread holder/needle minder with two samples each of fingering weight wool/nylon yarn, wool/nylon mending thread, and cotton sashiko thread. This loom is the best budget friendly option I have found and is made in China with unfinished wood. 

• Alexon Ver 14 hook Speedweve loom kit includes 2.5” diameter Speedweve mending loom, rubber bands, two weaving needles, muslin fabric, and a thread holder/needle minder with two samples each of fingering weight wool/nylon yarn, wool/nylon mending thread, and cotton sashiko thread. This is a top-quality loom handmade in Ukraine with a smooth mechanism and curved disk of finished wood.  

• Alexon Ver 21 hook Speedweve loom kit includes 3.25” diameter Speedweve mending loom, rubber bands, two weaving needles, muslin fabric, and a thread holder/needle minder with two samples each of fingering weight wool/nylon yarn, wool/nylon mending thread, and cotton sashiko thread. This is a top-quality loom handmade in Ukraine with a smooth mechanism and curved disk of finished wood, and has hooks set closer together which is ideal for smaller yarns/threads. 

• Extended platform for 14 hook Speedweve loom is for making longer mends. Loom not included - this is an add on.

• Extended platform for 21 hook Speedweve loom is for making longer mends. Loom not included - this is an add on.
